August 2011 - The car broke down whilst crossing a busy main road. The car was brought home by the AA, they arrived within 30 minutes. When I got the car home I noticed that the usual 'noise' from the fuel pump had gone, in fact the fuel pump was not operating at all when the ignition key was turned on.
Looking around for a fuel pump, I found a supplier on eBay selling a brand new pump for £86 (delivered).
The fuel pump is easy enough to change, with access being made under the carpet in the boot floor.
Tyres
April 2011 - All of the tyres have been changed for new items. The car is fitted with Range Rover 20" split rims, and needed to source some 275/40 R20 tyres. I purchased some tyres for the fronts from a company called Camskill who supplied two tyres for about £85 each. The rear tyres had to be fitted following a puncture, and so had to be done quickly. These were fitted by a company who came to the house, the company is called eTyres. These were both supplied and fitted for £245 all inclusive. I had to have a further rear tyre replaced about 3 weeks later as I ran up a kerb a little hard when a driver decided to come towards me head on ! ...a 4x4 it is, but 40 profile tyres don't like anything near off road conditions.
Tow Bar Bracket
The tow bar bracket was looking a bit shabby when I bought the car and so thought one of the first jobs ought to be to tidy up the bracket.

Front Brakes
When I purchased the car I noticed there was only around 1.5mm of friction material remaining on the front brakes and the vented discs were badly worn with a large wear lip present. I purchased a new set of vented front brake discs and new brake pads from eBay for £67. I also purchased some new brake disc securing screws and brake caliper slide bolts from British Parts UK. These parts were replaced with the job going smoothly. Before and after photographs below....
